Lleona Chew is a sculptor living in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Her current favorite medium is wool, which she dry felts in a process called needle felting. Using a single barbed needle, Lleona jabs the loose fiber repeatedly until it begins to compress and entangle, resulting in the sculptures you can find on her page. The process is labor intensive and produces one of a kind works that can not be duplicated-even by the artist herself! Lleona gladly accepts commissions, and has a working time of about 2 weeks per piece.
