I love working with enamels! Some people say it is a flashback to the sixites. I was too young then to experience that and fell in love with them just recently. All my enamels are kiln fired. This is a process of melting glass onto the metal and it takes three to four firing of each peice to achieve the color. Before you even start with that, there is the cutting of the shapes, the sanding of the metal and then the cleaning of the metal, all before you start with the first firing.
This pendant is a one of a kind piece and the first piece that I added some wire weaving to the design! The colors of spring leap out from this piece, making it cheery and fun to wear. The wire weaving is doen with aluminum , which will not tarnish and stay shiny! It also does not add weight to the peice. It hangs on a 18" silk wrapped black cord.
It is made with all the love and good energy I can possilby put into a piece.
